The Opportunity:
Our client, a consumer electronics company, is looking for a Director of Operations to join their team in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing three critical functional areas, including Warehousing, Logistics, and Information Systems, each led by dedicated managers and teams.
The Director of Operations drives operational excellence across the organization, leading end‑to‑end corporate projects, improving processes, strengthening systems, and ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with business priorities.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Developing managers and teams through performance goal setting, coaching, and structured development plans.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement by clearly communicating the purpose behind initiatives.
- Participating in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of operational leadership roles.
- Modelling and reinforcing high standards for accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Leading all corporate initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Partnering with leaders across the organization to define scope, assign resources, establish milestones, and monitor progress.
- Tracking and reporting on project KPIs, deliverables, and outcomes, including post‑implementation evaluations.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory flow, order fulfillment, productivity, and system performance.
- Managing vendor relationships, contracts, and cost‑reduction initiatives, including negotiation of high‑value agreements.
- Providing executive oversight of ERP, WMS, and other enterprise systems implementations, integrations, and testing.
- Ensuring IT and development initiatives align with operational needs and deliver measurable business value.
- Partnering with teams to identify automation opportunities, process improvements, and digital solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or other related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, logistics/supply chain, or ERP/business applications.
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing multiple leaders or functional areas.
- Demonstrated success leading corporate projects, operational transformations, and business system implementations.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP/WMS systems, inventory forecasting, order fulfillment, and multi‑location distribution.
- Strong vendor management and cost control experience, including negotiation of complex contracts.
Complimentary Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF statements).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.
- High‑energy, solutions‑oriented leader with a practical, hands‑on approach.
