University of Windsor Alumni and former member of the EPIC VentureWomen program, Jennifer Charron took a risk at a time when few dared to; she began her entrepreneurial journey at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeking out support through the EPIC VentureWomen program, Jennifer launched Logic Executive Search and Workplace Solutions. Logic provides professional/executive recruitment expertise, outplacement services and human resources support to clients across Canada and the United States. Logic is committed to developing a customized recruitment strategy that meets the unique needs of their clients while delivering the highest level of customer service.
“Jennifer joined our second VentureWomen cohort with an idea to build a recruitment firm,” said Wen Teoh, EPICentre Director, “In the span of the four-month program, we watched her firm grow and flourish with the proper guidance, mentorship, and support provided by EPICentre along with Jennifer’s determination to create a successful venture to help connect businesses in our community with ideal candidates at a time when organizations were struggling to navigate the complexities of recruitment on their own”.
As with most EPICentre Programs, the EPIC VentureWomen cohort concluded with a Final Pitch competition to showcase their businesses. Jennifer’s presentation earned her the Top Pitch Award, gaining recognition for her hard work and dedication over the four-month program, but her time with the EPIC team didn’t end there. As Jennifer continues to work on her successful business, she also volunteered her time as an EPIC Advisor to our newest VentureWomen cohort and has now generously sponsored the Inaugural She Inspires Award that will be presented to an inspirational woman entrepreneur participating in the EPIC VentureWomen Program every year. The winner of the She Inspires Award will take home a $1000 cash prize to put towards their business venture. The annual She Inspires Award will be presented to the current cohort at the EPIC VentureWomen Final Pitch Competition on December 9th, 2021.
“I am inspired by the female role models that encourage us to dream big, break barriers and make an impact in our community.” Said Jennifer, “I am proud to support the EPICentre VentureWomen Program that provides support for women changemakers looking to reimagine the future.”
EPICentre strives to build a more inclusive, innovative ecosystem for women by providing female founders and co-founders the opportunity to explore their ideas, increase their entrepreneurial skills and know-how, expand their network and build a business that is future-proof. With support from our growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, we’re able to provide more opportunities for our female founders. The She Inspires Award will be the perfect addition to our EPIC VentureWomen Program.
