Logic Executive Search & Workplace Solutions is proud to partner with the Municipality of Lakeshore in the recruitment of a Team Leader – Sanitary and Stormwater located in Lakeshore, Ontario. This role reports directly to the Division Leader – Engineering & Infrastructure and is responsible for the overall administration, performance, and supervision of engineering and infrastructure projects related to sanitary and stormwater systems for the Municipality of Lakeshore. This includes supporting Corridor Studies, Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Master Plans, Environmental Assessments, Flood Mitigation and Protection Projects, Development Application Support, and more.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Conducting hydraulic modelling analyses for wastewater and stormwater infrastructure using specialized software.
- Offering technical guidance on storm and sanitary system operations, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Providing technical feedback on various development projects, including sewer systems and stormwater management facilities.
- Assisting in establishing development requirements and standards to address servicing and flooding capabilities.
- Managing sewer inspection reports and providing recommendations for system improvements.
- Overseeing condition assessments of storm and sanitary infrastructure.
- Collaborating with other divisions to ensure the successful implementation of mitigation programs.
- Supervising the Municipality’s Flood Mitigation and Protection Frameworks, as well as developing and supporting the execution of the Municipality’s Flood Rapid Response Plan.
- Preparing technical reports and conducting design reviews related to flooding, drainage, and infrastructure resiliency.
- Coordinating filed inspections and ensuring compliance with municipal standards and regulations.
- Liaising with government agencies and neighbouring municipalities related to increased stormwater standards, flooding and shoreline mitigation and protection, and servicing constraints.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering, with a preference for those who have worked in municipal environments.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a municipal setting or other related sectors.
- Must possess a Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) or be eligible for licensing within 6 months. Alternatively, can be in good standing with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
- Demonstrated previous experience with stormwater management, storm and sanitary design and analysis, and flood mitigation.
- Previous experience with stormwater and wastewater modeling software as well as the ability to prepare technical reports.
- Familiarity with both Federal and Provincial Legislation concerning municipal engineering such as the Environmental Assessment Act, Highway Traffic Act, Drainage Act, Public Transportation Highway Improvement Act, Local Improvement Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and more.
- Proven experience with establishing professional relationships and the ability to communicate directly with the community and public.
- Valid Class “G” Driver’s license.
- Must maintain a clear police clearance.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
