The Opportunity:
Our client, a rapidly growing global SaaS (Software as a Service) company, is looking for a Team Lead, Sales Development to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. The Team Lead, Sales Development is responsible for managing a high-performing team of sales and business development representatives who focus on accelerating company growth by building global pipelines. This role is both a strategic and hands-on experience as you guide team performance while also contributing to pipeline-building activities.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of sales and business development representatives to consistently achieve and exceed pipeline targets.
- Delivering structured coaching, training, and feedback to enhance skills in cold outreach, qualification, and messaging.
- Collaborating with other departments to design onboarding programs that accelerate new hire productivity.
- Defining and implementing scalable outbound prospecting strategies in partnership with Sales and Marketing leadership.
- Acting as a player–coach by driving your own outbound activities to model best practices and validate new messaging.
- Monitoring KPIs and activity metrics (calls, emails, meetings, qualified leads) to ensure team performance aligns with goals.
- Maintaining CRM accuracy and providing regular reporting on pipeline health, lead quality, and performance trends.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Business, or other relevant fields.
- 3 – 5+ years of experience in Consumer Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, or B2B Marketing, specifically in the SaaS industry.
- Proven track record in leading and developing teams within a high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of outbound prospecting strategies and pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems and sales engagement tools.
Complimentary Experience:
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize processes.
- Ability to lead by example through active participation in outbound activities.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to align with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
