The Opportunity:
Our client, in the manufacturing industry is looking to add an Operations Supervisor to their team in Windsor, Ontario. This role will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse operations by guiding staff, maintaining safety and GMP standards, and managing resources.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Overseeing operations across manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing, ensuring schedules are met efficiently and safely.
- Assigning and managing staff, coordinating daily and weekly production plans, and providing ongoing training on safety, SOPs, GMP, and equipment use.
- Monitoring equipment, materials, and inventory, ensuring all components and ingredients are available, properly stored, and compliant with quality standards.
- Maintaining compliance and safety, inspecting machinery, enforcing GMP standards, and implementing housekeeping and sanitation programs.
- Troubleshooting and improving processes, identifying production issues, recommending solutions, and leading efficiency and documentation improvements.
- Coordinating cross-department activities, supporting payroll, attendance, shipping, MRP planning, and inventory accuracy.
- Managing documentation, labor reports, and shipping paperwork to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, and evaluations to optimize operations while upholding company policies and safety standards.
- Monitoring maintenance and repairs, issuing work orders, and following up to ensure timely completion.
- Escalating critical issues, proposing solutions, and ensuring proper execution of corrective actions.
- Supporting inventory and material control, including cycle counts, rejected materials disposition, and coordination with Inventory Control.
- Conducting regular floor walkthroughs, ensuring operator proficiency, adherence to safety standards, and smooth workflow.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a GMP environment.
- Experience managing or supervising unionized employees.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Proficient with computers and standard office software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including GMP and WHMIS.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capable of leading teams while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Demonstrated adaptability, innovation, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent reactive problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
