The Opportunity:
Our client, a consumer electronics company, is looking for a New Product Development Manager to join their team in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Research and Development Manager, the New Product Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, and driving process improvements to support corporate and departmental goals.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Setting clear priorities, delegating responsibilities, and enforcing timelines.
- Collaborating across departmental teams as the lead on product launches.
- Optimizing team efficiency through process improvements and automation.
- Managing multiple new product development projects simultaneously and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Communicating project updates and managing stakeholder inquiries.
- Identifying, onboarding, and managing new business partners, including suppliers, vendors, and consultants.
- Fostering strong relationships with key vendors to ensure project alignment and successful product delivery.
- Monitoring vendor performance for quality and timeliness.
- Attending international business trips and trade shows.
- Conducting feedback sessions and annual performance reviews with the team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, or other related field.
- 7 – 10+ years of experience in product development within consumer products or consumer electronics.
- 5+ years of experience leading diverse and accountable teams.
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple new product development launches.
- Willing to travel across Canada, the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, and other locations approximately 2 – 4 times a year.
- Previous experience working with OEM manufacturers and factories.
- Demonstrated experience in an E-commerce environment and utilizing ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and drive strategic initiatives.
Complimentary Experience:
- Currently held PMP or Six Sigma designations, or demonstrated progression towards these designations, is strongly preferred.
